Submit With All of Your Heart

Whenever I read the Qur'an, the sound of the Call from my Lord would penetrate my heart, with His saying: "O you who truly believe!"
-Shaykh Ahmad Fathu'llah Jami

Have you ever read or listened to the Qur’an and asked yourself what Allah is really saying to the believers? Have you ever wondered why some verses begin with a call to the believers and what the significance of this is? In this series of short commentaries on the verses in the Qur'an starting with "O you who believe", Shaykh Arsalan Haque discusses the importance and application of these verses. In this reflection from Surah Baqarah, he discusses God's command to enter wholeheartedly into the faith, in thoughts, words and action.

O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. (Surah Baqarah 2:208)
